Cooperation with the Western Balkans: first national drug datasheets unveiled

Today, the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA) has launched its first set of Western Balkan datasheets, offering the latest overview of the drug situation in the region.

IPA data sheets

The online datasheets provide a comprehensive summary of drug use, supply and drug-related harms and responses in Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo*, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. They include detailed descriptions of key indicators, alongside data tables and interactive graphics designed to enhance visualisation and user engagement.

The data and information for the datasheets were collected under the EU-funded Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) project, implemented by the EUDA in the region (IPA 8). The project aims help the six Western Balkan partners prepare for active participation in the EUDA and its Reitox network after accession. Publication of the datasheets plays an important role in this process.

The datasheets, which will be updated annually, highlight the contributions of the National Drug Observatories in the region and the IPA project's national correspondents and experts. They reflect the commitment of all those involved to delivering quality, data-driven insights.

The agency has worked closely with EU candidates and potential candidates through technical cooperation projects since 2008.
